firefox not discarding tabs automatically even though i have tab discarding on in about:config via "browser.tabs.unloadOnLowMemory=true" "browser.tabs.min_inactive_duration_before_unload=60000"

also if i discard them manually from about:unloads manually whenever i restart firefox all discarded tabs come back to life is it supposed to do that?

I am on a MacBookPro running MacOS 15.5.

My FireFox automatically updated to 139.0.4 on June 10th. Since then, my ability to access the internet with FireFox only has been intermittent - I can connect for a variable number seconds and then it disconnects for minutes or hours. I have no problems connecting to the internet with Chrome or Safari, or with other applications. My perusal of the forums leads me to believe that it is the latest update that is causing the problems.

Has anyone experienced this problem and/or does anyone have a fix? Thanks in advance.

wenn ich an meinem iOS Handy einen Tab an meinen Rechner sende, dann kommen die Tabs nicht mehr an. Früher ging es ohne Probleme. Leider kann ich nicht eingrenzen, seit wann das so ist.

Wenn ich aber vom PC Tabs an mein Handy sende, dann kommen diese an.

Hat jemand eine Idee?

For the 2nd time in 3 months my history and password files have disappeared from my browser. I have an Acer laptop running Windows 10 with Norton Security. I've tried a few fixes from your site with no success. Also tried a fix your site did have, but the link led nowhere. I need these passwords back. What do I do? Hi Team,

Why can't I disable the Search Tab option that is annoyingly cannot be removed in the Customize Toolbar option? Also, why isn't there a settings option to adjust the size of the tab height? Also, instead of mentioning as "Playing" at the bottom and thereby making the tab height bigger why not just show a sound icon before the tab name to indicate the tab is playing some media?

Also, kindly if there is a way to continue extending the support for ESR, that'd be great

There is a black box on the top left corner whenever firefox is maximized. This problem appeared when I got my new computer screen (Asus 27" TUF Gaming VG27AQ1A, 170Hz WQHD). My old computer screen (23.6" VE247H LED, Full HD, 2ms, 10M:1) didn't have this issue.

Any help how to fix this issue?

I'd like to ask about Firefox's behavior and settings. I'm using Firefox with vertical tabs (using an add-on), but it seems to be behaving strangely. The things that have changed since before are: 1. Open from pinned tab 2. Now opens in a new tab → Previously it opened in the same tab 3. Clicking on a newly opened tab opens a new tab again → Previously it would open pinned tabs/same tabs → in a new tab It has changed. I haven't changed any of my Firefox settings. Windows 11 Home 23H2 Firefox version 139.0.4 (64-bit).

So, I recently encountered this problem: If I close the main Firefox window while a private window is open, then when I open a regular Firefox window, I find that all pinned tabs have been reset, and I have to set them again.

This problem has never happened before, so I figured it was clearly a new bug and I should report it.

I asked a friend, and yes, he also encountered this problem.rt it.

I am trying to log on to Gordon Bernard Calendar Co once there I am informed that it is an insecure web site. I have been there many times. The GB web person says the prob. is on my end. My computer is old and I have always used version 7.

Is there a setting where you can set a timeout for access to passwords so when the time limit it is up it forces you to re-enter your master password to gain access when on a page asking for credentials? Currently I login with my master password and every site I go to Firefox will have my passwords ready to use, even if I leave my computer on for a week. How about a four hour timeout. After four hours and I go to a site asking for my credentials, Firefox will prompt me for my master password before letting me access the vault?

I want to sync live data from all different browsers or devices that I use in. one device If I delete one tab, it should immediately be reflected on the another device tab which means all should have the same tabs on all devices at the same time

I just need some help to stop techlorex from popping up as its constant and all day every day, There is no app and I search the system but nothing comes up, It pops up on one app I delete the app and it comes up on another one. My FF browser freezes, suddenly closes all tabs, expands fonts, etc etc All else in my system is normal. Should I just use the default MS Edge and be done with it?

Okay, we had a power outage while my computer was on. When I rebooted, everything worked but Firefox. The sites would come up, but the keyboard would not work. (It worked on every other program.) So, I "reset Firefox." In that process, it made me add the Webroot extension. Now, my new tabs folder is all wrong. It is full of ads. It does not have my regular new tabs. And when I click on facebook or amazon, it does not take me where I want to go.

How can I sync my laptop new tabs to my desktop?

Or, how can I restore my old new tabs on my desktop?
